North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher - Elizabeth Goodman

During a trip to Wilmington, a friend and I decided to go to the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. The aquarium is located roughly fifteen minutes away from Wilmington, which is around two hours away from Raleigh.
The aquarium is open every day (excluding certain holidays) from nine to five and admission for adults is only eight dollars. I would recommend making a trip to the aquarium if you decide to make a trip to Wilmington.
During my visit, we were told that we would have the pleasure of viewing a rare albino alligator, which was only there for a limited time, as well as other alligators. First, we went through an outside area that had animals from rivers and swamps on display such as alligators and freshwater fish.
Next we went inside to a room with a huge tank where we could feel sting rays and horseshoe crabs, it was beside a room where we could view baby dolphins. Next, there was a series of rooms with glass walls where we could see into the mock-underwater habitat of many salt water fish and sharks. The museum also had many educational areas, informing us about the history of marine life.
